Friendly people, a good mix of topics, an association focused on the success of its members, and friendly and helpful event staff.
- Tim K.
“This was my 3rd time attending the IASP conference. The event has been incredibly valuable to my professional growth – especially as someone newer to the strategy field. Each year, I leave with clearer frameworks, practical insights, and renewed confidence in applying strategic thinking to my work. I’ve also deeply appreciated the networking opportunities and the chance to connect and learn alongside colleagues from across different fields.”

Join us Sunday, May 31st for an exciting day of exploration in Winnipeg!
We will start the day with a trip to the ‘Journey to Churchill’ exhibit at the Assiniboine Park Zoo where you’ll get to see a wide variety of animals, including Canada’s most iconic – the polar bear. Next, we’ll join a member of the animal care team to learn how the zoo looks after Arctic species like polar bears, muskoxen and snowy owls. We’ll also visit the ‘Sea Ice Passage’ to watch polar bears swimming and playing in the water overhead.
During our tour, we’ll wander across forests, tundra and ice landscapes and come face-to-face with caribou, muskoxen, snowy owls, wolves and seals. We’ll also visit ’Aurora Borealis’ – Manitoba’s largest 360-degree domed theatre for a chance to gaze at the northern lights dancing in colorful ribbons and watch the people and animals of northern Canada making their way across the vast expanse of the Arctic during an eight-minute film ‘Rhythms of the North.’
After the zoo, we'll head to Hargrave Street Market for lunch, stop for a group photo in front of the popular Winnipeg sign and visit the iconic Canadian Museum of Human Rights – a must-see in Winnipeg. After the museum, you can either choose to take the bus back to the hotel or walk a short distance to The Forks for dinner, shopping and more fun. It’s just a 10-minute walk back to the hotel from The Forks once the bus departs for the afternoon.
Please note that this tour requires a lot of walking. If you have any mobility issues, please contact us using the form on this page to see what accommodations the venues are able to provide.
